Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
