Ten found guilty of digital abuse targeting Brigitte Macron

A court in Paris has ruled against ten people for engaging in the cyber-bullying of Brigitte Macron, the partner of French President, Emmanuel Macron.
The those on trial faced accusations of circulating fabrications regarding her sex and sexual orientation, in addition to publishing defamatory statements about the husband and wife's significant age difference.
The court delivered suspended jail terms of up to eight months to the defendants. The complete verdict has yet to be released.
A longstanding unfounded claim suggesting that Brigitte Macron is a transgender woman has been in circulation since her husband's rise to the presidency in 2017.
This recent ruling in France coincides with the Macrons engaging in a defamation lawsuit in the United States of America against right-wing influencer Candace Owens, who has likewise promoted comparable unfounded claims about the Brigitte Macron's gender.
Their legal filing states that Owens brushed aside all credible evidence that refuted her assertions choosing instead to platforming known conspiracy theorists.
Owens has often echoed these allegations on her show and social networks, and in March 2024 proclaimed that she would bet her whole career on her belief that Mrs. Macron was born a man.
Brigitte Macron first met her current spouse when she worked as an educator at his lycée.
The pair married in 2007, when the man who would become president was 29 and she was 54.
