This wasn't always the case, and Avatar: The Last Airbender demonstrated this with "The Ember Island Players," a cherished episode during its concluding run that is now getting a special Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair drop.

The full Secret Lair superdrop for the soon-to-release Avatar: The Last Airbender set was unveiled recently. This includes five Secret Lairs, and even though a set named "My Cabbages!" is an admittedly funny homage to the show's best background character, the remaining sets seem somewhat uninspired, aside from one remarkable entry: "The Ember Island Players."
Drawing from installment 17 from season 3 of the animated show, this Secret Lair contains the following cards:

The reason this episode is special
Fans of Avatar clearly recall this episode, which functioned as a summary of the hero Aang and his friends' adventure prior to the final episode. Different from typical clip shows, or retrospective segments, "The Ember Island Players" did not stem due to production constraints or scheduling problems. The creators genuinely intended to provide audiences a moment to revisit the series' story, yet they chose to do it creatively.
In the episode, the heroes view a play based on their exploits in a theater located on Ember Island, called The Boy in the Iceberg. The whole thing is inaccurate, melodramatic, and completely amusing. It succeeds since it plays on the characters' views about themselves, juxtaposing them with how the world (and especially the antagonist nation) perceives them. It possesses an ideal level of introspective humor, and it becomes perhaps the best adaptation of the series available to date.
